The first slide will explain what self-determination theory is. Self-determination theory can be understood as a branch of psychology that focuses on the various drives and requirements that are responsible for human behavior. Draw attention to the fact that the self-determination theory is comprised of three essential parts: autonomy, competence, and relatedness.
The King's Perspective on Autonomy, Slide 2 Discuss how King felt that people and communities should have the right to select their own destinies, both individually and collectively. Explain how Martin Luther King considered freedom as an essential part of self-determination and how he fought for equal rights under the law as an advocate for equal rights.
The King's Perspective on Competence is Presented in Slide 3 Discuss Martin Luther King Jr.'s conviction that individuals and communities require the necessary knowledge and resources in order to be successful.
